The homeowner wanted a sump pump installed in their basement. Our crews installed a sump pump and CleanSpace Wall System to divert water out of the basement. A LawnScape Outlet was also installed to drain the water from the gutters away from the home.
This project showcases a crawl space encapsulation completed at a home in Park City, Utah, designed to protect the structure from excess moisture, cold air intrusion, and long-term foundation issues.
Before encapsulation, the crawl space had exposed soil and outdated vapor protection, allowing ground moisture to rise into the home. This can contribute to higher humidity levels, musty odors, cold floors, and potential wood rot or mold growth — especially in mountain climates like Park City where snowmelt and seasonal moisture are common.
After installation, the crawl space was fully sealed with a heavy-duty vapor barrier system, covering the ground and foundation walls to block moisture and improve overall air quality. Encapsulation helps regulate temperatures, protects floor joists and support beams, and improves energy efficiency by keeping cold air out during Utah’s long winters.
Crawl space encapsulation is an effective solution for homeowners in Park City looking to:
Reduce moisture and humidity
Prevent mold and wood decay
Improve indoor air quality
Increase comfort and energy efficiency
Protect the home’s foundation long-term
The customer was seeing signs of water in the basement. Cleanspace was installed in the closet area.
The customer had some leaking around the water main in the basement. CleanSpace was installed by our crew.
Even though this customer had an existing sump pump in their basement they were still finding two areas in their finished basement that had water issues. They contacted Davenport Foundation Repair and our crews went out and installed WaterGuard, CleanSpace, and a drywell to give the client a dry basement space.
